Bobby Wendel
Bobby W. Wendel, 87, of Bryant, IN, (New Corydon) passed away at 2:35 AM on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IN.
He was born on Sunday, September 27, 1931, in Clinton County, IN. He married Virginia (Leininger) Wendel on Tuesday, November 28, 1950 in New Corydon Lutheran Church.
Bobby was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson Twp. School, Adams Co. IN. He attended the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bryant, IN. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. Bobby was a paint finisher and retired from New Idea in Coldwater, OH. after over 40 years of service.
He was a member of the VFW, and United Steel Workers Union. He coached Little League Baseball and All Stars for several years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and trapping.

Recovery, OH, Dennis Eugene Wendel, New Corydon, IN, Grandchildren-Jill Jenkins, Coldwater, OH, Lisa Stewart, Coldwater, OH, Steven Wendel, Bryant, IN, Bradley Wendel, Bryant, IN, John Wendel, Bryant, IN, Craig Wendel, Kansas City, MO, Keith Wendel, Bryant, IN, Stephanie Jacobs, Alexandria, IN, Justin Wendel, Coldwater, OH, Hannah Wendel, Ft Recovery, OH, Hunter Wendel, Ft. Recovery, OH, Holden Wendel, Ft. Recovery, OH, Brother-Jack (Joan) Wendel, New Corydon, IN, Sister-Betty Patch, Geneva, IN, and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father-Vilas W. Wendel, Mother-Velda L. (Wyant) Wendel, Brother-James Wendel, and Sister-Judy Wendel.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N Washington Street, Geneva on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Bobby's life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2019 with Martin Bornhoeft officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
