Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Pact grants raises, restores previously frozen step increases

CELINA - Celina schoolteachers will receive a 1 percent pay increase this school year, a 2 percent raise in 2019-2020 and a 2.6 percent raise in 2020-2021.
The contract also restores step increases for those whose steps had been frozen since 2011, district treasurer Tom Sommer said. School board members on Monday unanimously approved the three-year contract with the 200-member Celina Education Association after five months of negotiations. [More]

Project costliest in city history
ST. MARYS - Council members got their first look at the city's proposed $70 million budget for 2019 during a finance committee meeting on Monday.
The $70 million will be reduced to $52 million after the collection and distribution of taxes for 10 area villages are taken into account.
