* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Marie Reier
Marie R. (Mills) Reier, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
She was born August 11, 1932, in Washington, D.C., to William and Clara Mills. She married U.S. Navy (RET) LTJG Charles F. Reier on October 18, 1952, at St. Johns the Evangelist, Forest Glen, Maryland. As a Navy spouse, Marie moved frequently having resided in Virginia Beach, VA; Kingsville, Texas; Memphis, TN; Key West and Jacksonville, Florida, and Naval Air Station Atsugi, Japan.
Marie contributed to her community by volunteering at the Red Cross, supporting the volunteer fire department, teaching English at a Japanese high school, and as a Girl Scout leader. She supported Navy sailors through her membership in the Officers Wives Club.
In her free time, Marie loved to play cards and crochet, winning several blue ribbons at County Fairs in Florida and Ohio. She was the parliamentarian of all of her clubs. She was loved by all at "The Laurels" in Charlotte, N.C. where she has been living since 2009.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Charles.
She will be missed by her surviving two younger brothers, Robert and Charles Mills, four children Charles F. Reier II (Chuck), of St. Marys, Ohio, Matthew W. Reier (Matt) and wife Martha of Concord, N.C., Robert A. Reier (Bob) and wife Anita of Longs, S.C., and Jennifer L. Nolen and husband Robert of Falls Church, Va. Marie will also be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Donald Reier, Shawn Reier, Mandy Reier Fisher, Jon Eberhart, Chad Reier, Josh Nolen, and Rowan Nolen; 10 great grand children, Boston, Abby, Collin, Eddie, Hunter, Caroline, Gavin, Charlie, Gretchen and Johann one great, great grandchild.
A Memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta, Ohio on November 17, 2018, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Mayo Clinic or the American Cancer Society.
