* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Lois Bender
Lois J. Bender, age 87 of Minster passed away at 11:30 PM on July 26, 2018 at Heritage Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born in Richmond, IN on March 25, 1931 to the late Leonard & Margaret (Quinter) Baumer. On August 29, 1953 she married Julius "Norb" Bender. He survives in Minster.
She is also survived by children: Ann & Bill Miller, New Bremen, Barbara Bender, Black Lick, Ohio, Virginia "Ginny" Bender, Sidney, Stan & Dee Dee Bender, Troy, Denise & Mark Swiger, New Bremen, Tony & Andrea Bender, Honolulu, HI, 10 grandchildren: Andrew & Jennifer Miller, Rachael & Jason Sims, Kaleb & Micaela Swiger, Jacob & Kyle Swiger, Madyson, Ireland & Tag Bender, Emily & Sophia Bender, 6 great grandchildren: Marshall, Avery, Oliver, Macson, Ella & Annabelle, brothers & sister: Joe & Mickey Baumer, Richmond, Cathy & Jim Perkins, Reno NV, Ed & Wanda Baumer, Kettering, in-laws: Melba Bender, New Bremen, Ruth Bender, Dayton.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Anna & George Chance and Mary Hardwick.
Lois was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster and of the Minster New Bremen Right to Life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Frankline Rayappa, Celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Wednesday, August 1 from 3 to 8 pm and Thursday from 9:00 to 9:30am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Minster New Bremen Right to Life and Radio Maria.
