* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Esther Hess
Esther M. Hess, age 92, of Celina, died on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born July 5, 1926 in Maria Stein, Ohio, to the late August & Catherine (Hemmelgarn) Budde. On June 19, 1948, she married John Hess who died on June 23, 2013.
She is survived by six children Ronald Hess of Coldwater, Richard Hess and Kenneth Hess both of Celina, Charles Hess of New Bremen, Gary & Marjorie Hess and Carol & Edward Dues, both of Ft. Recovery, and 12 grandchildren; and siblings and in-laws, Ruth Youngpeter of Lima, Tom & Marguerite Budde of Fon Du lac, Wisconsin, James Pack of Titusville, Florida, Roselyn Kunemund of Minster and Kathy & Bill Freeman of Coldwater.
She is also preceded in death by three children, Michael Hess, Steven Hess and Mary Neace; siblings and in-laws, Eleanora & Louis Zumwald, Ruth & Louis Hamberg, Eileen & Robert Knapke, Tony Youngpeter, Wilfred & Marie Youngpeter, Rosella Budde, Ivo Budde, Norma & David Seger, Robert Kunemund, Robert & Eileen Hess, Alma & Richard Ruschau and Alice Pack.
Esther was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, Christian Mothers sodality, a 2nd grade religion teacher, Eucharistic minister, and sang in both the church choir and funeral choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed activities such as, sewing, baking, gardening, and always loved a chance to visit with her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday July 12, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Montezuma. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission Fund.
