Neil Rohrbach
Neil I. Rohrbach, 54, Saint Marys, died 2:59 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2017, at the James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born March 7, 1963, in Saint Marys, the son of Virgil and Victoria (Greve) Rohrbach.
He is survived by his children: Tara (Mike) Compton, of Saint Marys; Amanda (Cody) Spaugy, of Wapakoneta. He is survived by his step-daughter, Lauren (Mitchell) Chinn, of Saint Marys.
He is survived by his grandchildren; Craig, Devin, Jude, Michael, Hayden, Logan, Taylor, Gracie and Gage. He is survived by two step-grandchildren: Owen Selby and Tyler Chinn. He is survived by his siblings: Deb Weaks of Saint Marys; Steve (Deb) Rohrbach of Saint Marys; Patrick Rohrbach of Saint Marys; Cindy Gray of Celina; Andrea (Mike) Eberle of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his long time companion and fiancee, Kris Selby, who died January 19, 2017. He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Robert Weaks and Richard Gray.
Neil was a 1981 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He graduated from Lincoln Technical College in Indianapolis in 1982. He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation, where he was a highway tech.
Neil has enjoyed working on cars and other engines since he was 10 years old. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, farming, working on cars and spending time with his friends and family. He was a type of guy who was there to help out his friends. It was always a good time when Neil was around. He was usually the life of the party. He could always find a way to put a smile on your face. He was tough as steel, but had a heart of gold.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
