Mary Kramer
Mary Elizabeth Kramer, age 93, of Minster, died at 3:52 AM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Vancrest Nursing Home, St. Marys.
She was born on September 17, 1923 in Minster to the late Mathias & Elizabeth (Gariety) Utz. She married Urban Kramer on December 6, 1944 in St. Augustine Catholic Church Minster. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2007.
She is survived by children: Larry & Diana Kramer, St. Marys, Robert & Susan Kramer, New Bremen & Kathie & Robert Teague, New Bremen, grandchildren: Matthew & Maureen Kramer. Alan & Diana Kramer, Anthony & Lauren Kramer, Elizabeth & Greg Ivanovics Angela & Vernon Dye, Jeffrey & Ashley Teague, Lisa & Joseph McGovern, Kristina & Wince Morris, Rebecca & John Malik, Patricia Kramer and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son James Kramer, brothers: Alfred & Bernard Utz.
She was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a 1941 graduate of Minster High School and played violin in the school orchestra. Mary Worked at Minster Autocraft Cigar Box factory, Minster and during WWI she worked at the US Army Supply Depot in St. Joseph MO. She was very active in the community; she was a Brownie Scout and a Cub Scout Leader. She was a member of historical societies in Minster, Fort Loramie, New Bremen, Auglaize County & Shelby County.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio with Rev. Rick Nieberding Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 17, and from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 16. Memorial donations may be made to Minster Historical Society.
