* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Robert Wendel
Robert L. "Bob" Wendel, 74, Fort Recovery, Ohio, died June 1, 2017 at Life Care Hospital, Miamisburg, OH.
He was born June 29, 1942, in St. Peter, OH, to the late Rochus and Mildred (Beyke) Wendel. On October 30, 1976, he married Marilyn (Quinter) Wendel, who survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Wendel of West Carrollton, OH; his siblings, Delores (Andy) Schlarman of St. Rose, OH, William (Marie) Wendel of Chickasaw, OH, Rita Wynk of Carthagena, OH, Rosann (Clete) Prenger of Minster, OH, Kathleen Wendel of Wendelin, OH, Ron (Karen) Wendel of Wendelin, Don Wendel of Wendelin, Mary (Dan) Bruns of Chickasaw, Janet Kuck of Chickasaw, David (Eileen) Wendel of Fort Recovery, Majorie (Nick) Meier, St. Rose and Ernest (Marilyn) Wendel, Wendelin; and in-laws, Les (Pat) Quinter of Coldwater, OH and Karen (Ron) Wendel of Wendelin.
Preceding him in death are three children, Morris Wendel, Tamara "Tammy" Wendel and an infant child, Mary Catherine Wendel; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence "Tiny" and Mary Catherine Quinter; and brothers-in-law, Robert Wynk and Dave Kuck.
He worked various jobs throughout his life. He worked for the former New Idea, Coldwater, Homan Equipment, Maria Stein, Tom's Construction, St. Henry, Agco Corporation, Coldwater and was engaged in farming. After retirement, Bob enjoyed doing small remodeling jobs.
Bob was a member of Financial Life, St. Joe, Ohio, where he enjoyed making the eggs, homemade breakfast sausage and Belgian waffles for their annual brunch. He was also a member of the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, Ohio, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Coldwater, Ohio and Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio. He enjoyed the occasional morning coffee with friends and following Fort Recovery sports on FR radio. Bob spent his past time playing the hand & foot card game, pinochle or euchre with friends. He also took pride in gardening and enjoyed canning during the summer months.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Ohio, Fr. Matt Feist officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joe, Ohio.
Calling is 2:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Tuesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
