Terry Gibbs
Terry D. Gibbs, 61, Celina, Ohio, died 3:30 P.M. Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a brief illness.
He was born September 30, 1955, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the son of Earl and Lorene (Holley) Gibbs.
He is survived by his children: Chad (Heather Young) Gibbs of Celina; Brandy Gibbs of Atkins, Arkansas; by his step-children: Crystal Sand of Spencerville; Chad (Sheryl) Harruff of Columbus, Ohio; Stephanie (Cody) Laman of Lima; Stacy Harlen of Atkins, Arkansas. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn (Sam) Weilbacher of Saint Marys; Darlene (Bob) Dresen of Cridersville. He is survived by his grandchildren: Ayana Young; Reagan Young; Chloe Gibbs; Haylie Sand; and Tristan Harlen.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; by a sister, Pat Granderson; by a brother, David Gibbs; by an infant brother.
He was a graduate of Todd Central High School in Elkton, Kentucky. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He attended welding school in Kentucky, as well, and retired from General Dynamics Corporation in Lima.
He enjoyed watching auto racing and football, and he loved to get together with his family to play games. He was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Garland Wilkerson, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
