Herman Kunk
Herman J. Kunk, 89, of Coldwater died Friday, October 7th at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born on July 24, 1927 to the late Louis & Paulina (Vagedes) Kunk. On January 14, 1950 he married Ruth Muhlenkamp of St. Henry and she died on January 14, 2014.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Jerry) Campbell, New Bremen; Ann (Ken) Muhlenkamp, Celina and Kathy (Carl) May, Coldwater, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Alma Venys, Dayton; and sisters-in-law Imogene Kunk, Coldwater; Pauline Axe, Marysville and Joan Carron, Kettering.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Kunk; siblings Alfred Kunk, Sister Mary Catherine Kunk, Edna Rutschilling and Donald Kunk; in laws Richard and Vera Muhlenkamp, Frank Axe, Urban Rutschilling and Jack Carron.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Coldwater Eagles. He retired from the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater after 43 years.
In earlier years he enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. In more recent years he loved to spend time with his great grandchildren and learn about his family history.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
