* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Mary Heitkamp
Mary A. Heitkamp age 70 of New Bremen, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 3:00 A.M. at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville, OH.
She was born on March 11, 1945 in Dayton, OH. She was the daughter of Ferdinand and Cleopha (Boehmer) Homan. On August 20, 1966 she married Marvin U. Heitkamp who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are her children Michelle (Dennis) Heitkamp-Begg of Jacksonville, FL., and Michael (Rachel) Heitkamp of Cincinnati, grandchildren Nicholas Heitkamp, Benjamin Heitkamp, Shelby Begg and Austin Begg and her brothers Robert (Nancy) Homan of Jackson Center and Donald (Marguerita) (dec.) Homan of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy.
Mary was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen and had been active in the Ladies Sodality of the Church. She was a member of the Twig Benders OCCL of New Bremen.
Mary retired from the New Bremen Schools in 2004 where she had been on the cafeteria staff. Following retirement, she worked the courtesy counter at the South Branch of the Auglaize/Mercer Co. YMCA, New Bremen.
She enjoyed sewing through the years, working around the home, taking walks, and traveling with her husband, not only in the states but across Europe as well. She truly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen with Rev. Robert Hadden officiating. Inurnment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 3 until 7 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and on Saturday from 9:00 until 9:30 A.M. at the church at which time the Rosary will be prayed.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
