Schools officials list options for possible improvements

MARIA STEIN - Marion Local Schools District officials want residents' opinions on plans to upgrade its facilities.
Garman Miller & Associates recently prepared a master plan after assessing the school's facilities, superintendent Mike Pohlman said. The feasibility study identified six possible improvements, ranging from a concession/restroom building at the football stadium to a new high school. [More]

CELINA - The city was without power for about an hour on Tuesday morning/afternoon.
Mayor Jeff Hazel this morning said the outage likely was the result a bird striking a 69-kilovolt power line within 3.9 miles of the Sugar Street substation.
Electricity went out about 11:30 a.m. in an area reportedly stretching from at least Staeger Road to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, west of Celina. [More]
