* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Roger Busse
Roger W. Busse, age 92, of New Bremen, died on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 7:30 P.M. at the Heritage Center in Minster, OH.
He was born on November 19, 1921 in New Bremen. He was the son of the late Raymond and Lola (Hirschfeld) Busse. On March 5, 1946 he married Leota Fark who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving is his son and daughter in law, Larry and Nancy Busse of New Bremen, grandchildren; Todd (Shelly) Busse of New Bremen and Lori (Kip) Hubbard of Mason, OH., great grandchildren; Reese and Ryland Busse, Bailey and Kendall Hubbard, Danielle Bornhorst and Kirstie (Zack) Miller.
Roger was a member of the St. Peter's Church in New Bremen. He was a 1939 graduate of New Bremen High School, was a member of the American Legion Post 241 of New Bremen and was a former baseball player with the Western Ohio Baseball League.
Roger served his country with the Army Air Corp during WW II from June of 1942 until November of 1945. He served overseas for 32 months, 8 months of that time on Iwo Jima and received the Pacific Theater and the Asiatic Theater Victory Ribbons and was awarded 2 Bronze Stars. He was a radio mechanic on P51 Mustang Fighter Planes. He was a 35 year employee of the former STAMCO in New Bremen and belonged to its 25 year club. He went on to work with the custodial staff at the New Bremen Schools for the next 5 years and fully retired in 1983.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Rev. Michael Westbay officiating. Inurnment will follow at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
The family requests that contributions may be made to the Grand Lake Hospice or to the St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund.
