Mary Ann Wenning age 88 of Maria Stein, Ohio died at 8:25 PM on Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Elmwood Assisted Living Center.

She was born on October 22, 1926 in McCartyville, Ohio to the late August & Elizabeth (Tuente) Riethman. She was married to Ralph A. Wenning on August 9, 1947 in McCartyville, Ohio. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1997.

She is survived by children: Richard Wenning, Maria Stein, Nick & Kathy Wenning, Mauldin, SC, Dan Wenning, Minster, Samuel Wenning, Dallas, TX, Nancy & Craig Burkhart, St. Marys, Debora Shrock, Coldwater, in-laws Regina Jenkins, Fountain Hills, AZ, Vernon Bergman, Celina, 19 grandchildren & 1 step grandchild, 15 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters Norbert Riethman, Covington, Linus & Mary Riethman, St. Marys, Homer Riethman, McCartyville, Helen Westerbeck, Sidney & sister-in-law Judy Riethman, Anna.

She was preceded in death by son David Wenning, daughter Donna Bergman & daughter-in-law Pam Wenning, sister Bernie Schulze and brother Aloys Riethman.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. She was also a member of the Knights of St. John Auxiliary and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She retired from Huffy, Celina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, Ohio, Rev. Tom Brenberger celebrant. Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2015 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
