Virginia Wierwille
Virginia R. Wierwille, 87, St. Marys, died at 10:13 p.m. March 8, 2015, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Buckland, to Clifford and Helen (Rupert) Spees, who are deceased. On Feb. 24, 1945, at Christian Congregational Church, Buckland, she married Virgil E. Wierwille, who died Jan. 3, 1992.
Surviving are three daughters, Gloria Howell, St. Marys, Nancy (John) Taylor, Rockford, and Brenda Wierwille, Latonia, Ky.; three sons, Clyde (Beth) Wierwille, Harleysville, Pa., David (Jane) Wierwille, Lima, and Paul (Tammy) Wierwille, St. Marys; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine (Gerald) Murphy, Dayton, and Beatrice (Bernard) Lehman, St. Marys.
Also deceased are an infant son, Stephen Wierwille; four grandchildren, Christian Howell, Patrick Howell, Aaron Wierwille and Thomas Lane; and a great-granddaughter, Ryah Howell.
She was a graduate of Buckland High School. She was a farm wife and also had worked at Parker Motors, Sands Bakery and JB Pastries, all in St. Marys. She was a member of Calvary Chapel in Minster.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she volunteered many hours as an advisor for the Future Homemakers Club and the Stitch-n-Time 4-H Club. Her favorite pastime was square dancing with her husband.
Rites are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Visitation is 4–8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
