Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Show, kick-off event planned for Friday

CELINA - The debut of an art show and fundraiser Friday night will kick off a campaign to establish a new arts organization in Mercer County.
An ad hoc committee is hosting the public event at 7 p.m. at Java Nation, 110 S. Main St., Celina. The art show, which will be open to the public during business hours throughout September, features the works of about 20 area artists of various ages. [More]

Mercer County Sheriff's deputies discovered 196 marijuana plants valued at nearly $295,000 in Blackcreek Township in the northwest part of the county during a recent helicopter search.
The discovery was made during annual eradication efforts assisted by a helicopter and pilot from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. [More]
