* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Dorothy Lesher
Dorothy I.S. Lesher, 88, Otterbein-St. Marys and formerly of New Bremen, died at 12:55 a.m. July 31, 2014, at at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 24, 1925, near New Bremen, to Irwin and Ida Poppe Neuman. On Jan. 25, 1948, she married Clarence Lesher, who survives in St. Marys.
Also surviving are three children, Linda (Mark) Forry, Hamilton, Barbara (Bruce) Lemmon, New Bremen, and Joe (Teri) Lesher, New Bremen; 10 grandchildren, Levi and Brittany Lesher, Jacob and Beth Lesher, Adam Lesher, Dan Forry, Andrew and Stacey Forry, Zach Forry and Shannon Forry; and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Virgil Neuman.
She was an active member of St. Peter's Church, New Bremen, where she was involved in the Women's Fellowship, funeral lunch committee, the Quilters and the Refunders. She volunteered in many other aspects of the church.
She was a 1943 graduate of New Bremen High School and Maumee Valley School of Nursing, where she received training as a registered nurse. She worked as a registered nurse at different places, including JTDMH, Dr. Noble's office, New Bremen Local Schools, and Valley Nursing Home, from where she retired after many years of caring for others.
She and her husband were charter members of the New Bremen EMS. She was a 4-H advisor and enjoyed quilting and cooking for others. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and she lived life to its fullest by caring for others and always volunteering a helping hand.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Church, New Bremen, the Rev. Charles Richtmyer officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund.
