Stricter setback regulations approved in June could foil proposed plans for a wind turbine project that stretches into northern Mercer County.
Gov. John Kasich signed House Bill 483 in June, which includes a revision requiring wind turbines to be erected 1,300 feet from the nearest property line. The law previously required turbines to be placed 1,300 feet from a structure and about 550 feet from a neighboring property line. [More]

Powerful trucks and tractors took to the track at Ambassador Park in Fort Recovery this past weekend as the National Tractor Pullers Association wrapped up its Grand Nationals. Nearly 90 entries took to the track on Saturday with 77 competing on Friday night.
Brody Hoying called it "a thousand pounds dropped off my back" when asked about the importance of making his college choice before the start of his senior season in football.
Former Celina High School distance specialist Andrew Goodwin had a dominating performance in winning the Celina Lake Festival 5K road race on Saturday morning.
