Vernon Wagner
Vernon E. Wagner, 70, Celina, died at 2:45 a.m. June 21, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Feb. 1, 1944, in St. Marys, to Richard and Jenna Smith Wagner.
Surviving are three sons, Jim Wagner, Celina, Steven Wagner, Celina, and Taylor Wagner, Salisbury, N.C.; a daughter, Angela (Rex) LaRue, Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Karen (Herb) Black, Celina, and Sandy (Jan) Vornholt, New Knoxville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was a retired Roadway Express truck driver. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose and Eagles, all of Celina. He loved fishing and was a big Ohio State fan. He sponsored the Roadway Golf Tournament for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Private services will be held.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
