Joan Schoenherr
Joan M. Schoenherr, 86, Coldwater, died June 3, 2014, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Sept. 20, 1927, in Celina, to August and Mary Moeder Jutte. On June 17, 1950, she married Joseph Schoenherr at St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2013.
Survivors include six sons, Ken (Connie) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery, Don (Karen) Schoenherr, Coldwater, Joe (Sandy) Schoenherr, Coldwater, Matt (Linda) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery, Karl (Barb) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery, and Bill (Janel) Schoenherr, Coldwater; two daughters, Pat (Jim) Brockman, Fort Recovery, and Nancy (Craig) Heckman, Osgood; eight brothers, Paul Jutte, Coldwater, Luke (Betty) Jutte, Versailles, Mark (Thelma) Jutte, Fort Recovery, Julius (Betty) Jutte, Fort Recovery, Al Jutte, Osgood, August (Betty) Jutte, St. Henry, Zeno Jutte, St. Henry, and Leonard (Betty) Jutte, Rockford; 27 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Lavern Vagedes, Coldwater.
She was preceded in death by three infant children, James, Gerald and Mary; a brother, Carl Jutte; five sisters, Esther Keller, Mary Nieberding, Luella Barga, Helen Vagedes and Addy Hess; and three grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter, and its Christian Mothers Sodality. She also was a church choir member for over 65 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and being with family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Revs. Thomas Dorn and Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice.
