John Kinkley, Evelyn Kinkley, James Kinkley
Local committal services for Mendon natives.
John C. Kinkley, Evelyn Kinkley and James W. Kinkley have been planned.
All three passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where they had resided.
John Kinkley, 87, died Sept. 6, 2000; his wife, Evelyn, 94, died Dec. 4, 2008; and their son, James, 76, died Dec. 16, 2013.
John Carroll Kinkley was born in Mendon on Dec. 7, 1913, to Frank W. and Edith Carroll Kinkley.
Evelyn Coil Kinkley was born in Mendon on Nov. 6, 1914, to Harry E. & May Murlin Coil.
John and Evelyn both graduated with the Mendon-Union High School class of 1932, and they were married in November of that year.
Their son, James William Kinkley, was born in Mendon on Nov. 4, 1937.
Surviving are John and Evelyn's two daughters, Sue C. (Roy) Schnei-der, of Litchfield, and Jean J. Courville, Baton Rouge, La.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great nieces and great-great-nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Sally Edwards Kinkley, Columbus.
Preceding them in death were John and Evelyn's son, Richard V. Kinkley; son-in-law, Elster Courville; John's brother, Harold V. Kinkley; and Evelyn's sisters, Grace Rhodes, Edith Hattery, Margaret Smith and Aletha Jean Sites.
John Kinkley retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Division of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Inspection. He was a member of the Masons and had attended Miami University in Oxford.
Evelyn Kinkley was a homemaker and had worked in retail stores.
James Kinkley was a retired computer technician. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Joint graveside rites  for their cremated remains will be at 1 p.m. June 10 at Hankins Cemetery in Center Township, the Rev. Paul Miller will officiate.
W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, is handling the local arrangements.
