Susan Gossard
Susan E. Gossard, 64, St. Marys, died at 7:32 p.m. April 6, 2014, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 11, 1949, in Celina, to Cleve and Anna Schultz Gossard.
She is survived by her siblings, Barry (Sally) Gossard, St. Marys, Dave Gossard, St. Marys, and Bruce Gossard; nieces and nephews, Dennis Gossard, Mike Gossard, Doug Gossard, Brian Gossard, Paul Gossard, Evan Bader, Lauren Coffey, Morgan Coffey, Carolyn Bader, Angie Gossard, Crystal Thomas, Marc Gossard and Matt Gossard; and a cousin, Evelyn Schultz Horner, St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She retired from the city of St. Marys Police Department, where she had served as a crossing guard for 17 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, where she had been a member of the church choir and also a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of the Action Club and Eagles 767 Auxiliary, and she enjoyed watching Special Olympics events. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and will be remembered as a very loving aunt and sister.
Funeral rites will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Memorials may be given to the St. Marys Public Library or Zion Lutheran Church.
