* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Marjorie Wellman
Marjorie L. Wellman, 89, New Knoxville, died at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 20, 2013, at Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 12, 1924, in New Knoxville, to Raymond and Lenora Doenges Henkener. On June 1, 1946, she married Howard "Jack" Wellman, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ann Henkener, Columbus, Mary (Paul) Espisito, Cincinnati, Barbara (Joe) Malsom, Kalamazoo, Mich., Randy (Sandy) Henkener, St. Marys, Mark (Pat) Wellman, New Knoxville, Ned (Lisa) Wellman, Marysville, Mary (Keith) Howe, Gahanna, and Jane (Zane) Baugman, Troy; a sister-in-law, Helen Wellman, New Knoxville; and Russell Kuck, New Knoxville, who was like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Wellman.
She graduated from New Knoxville High School and was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville. She assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm.
She was a very giving and outgoing person, helping many people along the way. Those around her did not remain strangers for long. She was upbeat and positive, often offering her thoughts and encouragement. Family was always at the top of her list, and she hosted many Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends and relatives. She had been an avid bowler, was active in the New Knoxville Garden Club and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her strong faith in the Lord was life-long. She was an avid New Knoxville Ranger basketball fan and enjoyed going to the games. Otterbein St. Marys became her final home, and she had good things to say about her stay and the wonderful staff who cared for her.
Combined funeral rites with those of her sister-in-law, Marcile Henkener, who also died Sept. 20, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, the Rev. Dr. David Williams officiant.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to funeral rites Wednesday in the Heritage Room of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church.
