Glen Fox
Glen S. "Grinny" Fox, 89, Celina, died April 2, 2013, at 10:15 a.m. at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Mendon, to Pete and Hazel Stewart Fox. On Feb. 8, 1945, he married Dorothy Fox, who died November 1985. On Sept. 6, 1993, he married Kathy Clay Fast, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Tim (Diana) Fox, Franklin, N.C.; two stepsons, Tom Fast, Westerville, and Tim (Danene) Fast, Worthington; two daughters, Debi (David) VanGundy, Celina, and Pamela Stose, Celina; one stepdaughter, Tara Fast, Upper Arlington; a brother, Gary (Patty) Fox of Hamilton; a sister, Barbara Armstrong, Mendon; four sisters-in-law, Loajean Fox, Coldwater, Elaine Fox, Arcanum, Betty Fox, Sidney, and Kathleen Fox, Celina; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Also deceased are a son-in-law, Everett Stose; five brothers, Paul, Wayne, Lewis, Calvin and Charles Fox; and a sister, Lois Nolan.
He was a 1941 Rockford High School graduate, a U.S. Army World War II veteran and an apartment manager for Yorkshire Place Ltd.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, the Celina American Legion, Celina Moose, Celina VFW and Celina Eagles.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will follow at United Church of Christ Cemetery with military rites performed by Celina VFW and American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. There will be a VFW and American Legion service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Lake Improvement Association.
