* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Melvin Luthman
Melvin E. Luthman, 78, Botkins, died at 10:05 p.m., March 29, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 30, 1934, in Sidney, to Bernard and Amelia Raterman Luthman. He married Agnes Esser on Oct. 10, 1959, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. She survives in Botkins.
He is also survived by children, Greg (Tammy) Luthman, Botkins, Lorie (Todd) Grow, Columbus, Jon (Jane) Luthman, Botkins, Steve (Elaine) Luthman, Anna, Alan (Kathy) Luthman, Anna, and Michael Luthman, Sidney; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister, Si (Margaret) Luthman of Anna and Rosalie Hempfling, Findlay.
He was preceded in death by brothers and a sister, Vernon, Vincent, Gloria, Orville and twin brother, Merlin.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, and Knights of Columbus, McCartyville. He was a graduate of Holy Angels High School in 1953 and a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.
He was a lifelong farmer; enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking; and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Church and Grand Lake Hospice.
