* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Cherl Russell
Cherl Durie Russell, 65, St. Marys, died at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 1, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 14, 1947, in Van Wert to Billy and Florence Vermilya Agler. She married Harvey Russell on June 29, 1964, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2009.
Surviving are her children, Kimmy (Jeff) Valente and children Allison and Alex of Cuyahoga Falls, William (Dixie) Russell and children Jessica, Zach and Gage of St. Marys, Mandi (Todd) Shroyer and children Clara and Josh of New Knoxville, Veronica (Richard) Block and children Brandon, Page and Colin of Saint Marys, John (Karla) Russell and children Cearra, Trista and Michael of Montezuma; a very close nephew and niece, Greg and Kim Geiger and children Adam, Danielle and Matt of St. Marys; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn (David) Miller of St. Marys and Melodie Rider of Jonestown; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Schneider of Minster.
She attended Ohio City Liberty High School. She had been employed at the former Hayes-Albion Corporation and the Medical Pool Home Health Care Company; she worked in the office of Dr. Vic Von Blon for many years.
She enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and baseball; camping and going to Tennessee. She loved being with her family more than anything. She was a past president of the Auglaize County Civil Defense Group and a member of the Buckeye Emergency Team. She enjoyed chatting with her many friends on the CB radio over the years.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Charles Richtmyer, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to Cherl's family to help defray medical expenses.
