* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Phyllis Shier
Phyllis Margaret Shier, 94, Coldwater, died Dec. 3, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Mercer County, to Bryan and Orpha Martz Shaffer. On Aug. 27, 1960, she married John Shier, who died Jan. 25, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Shier, Longmont, Colo.; a son, Rich (Linda) Shier, Fort Recovery; a sister, Ruth Siepert, Fort Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Also deceased are a son, Duane; a sister, Helen (Dale) LaRue; and a brother, Richard (Jean) Shaffer.
She was a member of Coldwater United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for Dr. Atkins' office.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Coldwater United Methodist Church Capital Improvements Fund.
