* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Carl Stammen
Carl B. Stammen, 82, St. Henry, died Aug. 8, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Feb. 9, 1930, in New Weston to Joseph and Josephine Weis Stammen. On Sept. 12, 1953, he married Ruth Huber, who survives in St. Henry.
Also surviving are eleven children, Thomas (Kathleen) Stammen, Burkettsville, Joan (Charles) Hess, St. Henry, Deborah (Gregory) Barga, North Star, Sandra (David) Timmerman, Coldwater, Donald Stammen, Burkettsville, Susan (James) Siegel, Ft. Loramie, Mark (Angela) Stammen, Burkettsville, Carol (Keith) Powell, St. Henry, Nancy (Jeffrey) Davis, St. Henry, Richard (Nychole) Stammen, Burkettsville, and Joseph (Amy) Stammen, Burkettsville; four siblings, Alfons (Lois) Stammen, North Star, Dolores Groff, Dayton, Marie Langenkamp, North Star, and Eulalia (Elmer) Klosterman, Celina; nine in-laws, Tillie Stammen, St. Henry, Sally Stammen, Burkettsville, Ruth Stammen, New Weston, Rita Stammen, Ft. Recovery, Mildred Siefring, Coldwater, Paul (Barb) Huber, North Star, Betty (Tony) Feltz, St. Henry, Frank (Diane) Huber, North Star, and Louis (Jane) Huber, Versailles; 31 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Kevin Stammen; siblings, Edward (Bernadine) Stammen, Cornelius (Annamae) Stammen, Cyril Stammen, Virgil Stammen, Lawrence Stammen, Margaret (Norbert) Langenkamp, Coletta Stammen, Armella Stammen and Herman Stammen; in-laws, Ado Langenkamp, Esther Stammen, Joe Groff, Eleanor (Virgil) Schoenlein, Melvin Stammen, Norb Huber, Lavern (Delores) Rindler, Herbert (Dorothy) Huber, Dorothy (Othor) Barga and Elmer Siefring; and a granddaughter.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, Men's Holy Name of the Church, St. Henry Knights of Columbus, and North Star American Legion. He served in the Army, was a trustee for the Wabash Conservancy and was a lifelong farmer.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating.. Burial will follow with military rites at St. Bernard Cemetery.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
