Lavern Muhlenkamp
Lavern E. Muhlenkamp, 78, Coldwater, died March 19, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Celina, to the late Herbert and Asella (Miller) Muhlenkamp. On June 12, 1954, he married Pat Wourms, who died Nov. 24, 2011.
He is survived by five children, Brenda (Mike) Grieshop, Fort Recovery, Doug (Diane) Muhlenkamp, Ron (Renee) Muhlenkamp and Lynne (Dean) Huelsman, all of Coldwater, and Jaclyn (Loren) Korzan, Elida; two sisters, Pauline Hess, Coldwater, and Dorothy (Louie) Hoyng, Celina; a brother, Gerald (Eileen) Muhlenkamp, Celina; a brother-in-law, Alvin Saintignon, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Muhlenkamp, Coldwater, and Josephine Muhlenkamp, Rockford; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Muhlenkamp and Robert Muhlenkamp; a sister, Mary Ann Saintignon; and two brothers-in-law, Linie Schoen and Paul Hess.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its Holy Name Society. He formerly worked for Matt Schwieterman, Inc., Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice, Coldwater.
