Alfrieda Puthoff
Alfrieda F. Puthoff, 88, Versailles, died Dec. 16, 2011, at her residence.
She was born March 22, 1923, in Osgood, to Frank and Anna (Winner) Poeppelman. On Sept. 6, 1944, she married Norbert A. Puthoff, who died Nov. 21, 2006.
Surviving are seven children: Karen (Richard) Drees, Versailles, Mary Jane Johnson, Dayton, David (Karen) Puthoff, Marshal, N.C., Brenda (Phil) Rutherford, Sidney, Frank (Cara) Puthoff, Kettering, Richard "Rick" Puthoff, Versailles, and Steven (Marlene) Puthoff, Versailles; six siblings, Caroline Cron, Boise, Idaho, Irene Prenger, Egypt, Theresa Will, Minster, Edwin (Rosemary) Poeppelman, Osgood, Victor (Sylvia) Poeppelman, Dallas, and Jeannie Ebert, Columbia, Tenn.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor Baumer, Minster, Raymond Prenger, New Bremen, Helen Puthoff, Dayton, and Norma Puthoff, Fort Loramie; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Puthoff; a son-in-law, Thomas Johnson; and five siblings, Amelia and Luenda
Poeppelman, Romilda Prenger, Maryann Baumer, and Frank Poeppelman Jr.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and had been active in the St. Barbara Ladies Sodality. She was a homemaker and had worked as a cook at Versailles High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Church in Osgood, the Rev. David L. Zink presiding. Interment will follow at St. Martin Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
