* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Martin Lefeld
Martin F. Lefeld, 82, St. Henry, died at 5:25 p.m. Sept. 25, 2011, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born March 15, 1929, in St. Henry to George and Bernadine Schmackers Lefeld. On Oct. 24, 1953, he married Mary Ann Prenger, who survives.
Also surviving are 11 children, Martha (Charlie) Tobe, Dayton, Vincent Lefeld, St. Henry, Alfred (Jacqueline) Lefeld, Centerville, Steven (Michelle) Lefeld, Covington, Andrew (Volina) Lefeld, Richmond, Va., Carolyn (Calvin) Romer, Dayton, James (Rose) Lefeld and Marvin (Tricia) Lefeld, all of St. Henry, Dennis (Dina) Lefeld, Bellbrook, Jennifer Lefeld, Dayton, and Ronald Lefeld, St. Henry; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Lefeld, St. Henry; four siblings, Bernadine Homan, Bernard Lefeld and Henry (Trudy) Lefeld, all of St. Henry, and Agnes Pohlman, Versailles; a sister-in-law, Marcella Lefeld, Coldwater; 36 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Gerald and Charles; five siblings, Joe Lefeld, Seraphim Lefeld, Alvina Stammen, Dorothy Kuess and Edward Lefeld; seven in-laws, Clarina Lefeld, Bill Stammen, Rich Kuess, Vi Lefeld, Agnes Lefeld, Al Homan and Ott Pohlman; and a granddaughter.
A lifelong farmer, he retired from Pax Steel Co. in Coldwater in 1991 after 43 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 including a tour of duty in Germany. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, where he sang in the adult choir for 50 years. He also was a member of the St. Henry American Legion, serving as a former commander and sergeant at arms and as Second District American Legion sergeant-at-arms, and a member of the St. Henry Knights of Columbus. He was a 1947 graduate of St. Henry High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the St. Henry Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
