* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

John Vehorn
John L. Vehorn, 81, Maria Stein, died Aug. 30, 2011, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1930, in Maria Stein, to Edward and Ruth Grieshop Vehorn. On June 23, 1956, he married Ruth Ann Curtis, who survives in Maria Stein.
Also surviving are children, Jayne (Mike) McCollum, Norcross, Ga., Karen (Frank) Griesdorn, St. Henry, Ted (Joyce) Vehorn, St. Marys, Fred (Angela) Vehorn, Carlsbad, Calif., Ann (John) Uhlenhake, St. Henry, and Beth (Bart) Griesdorn, Maria Stein; a sister, Carol (Jack) Mescher, Dayton; and 16 grandchildren.
Deceased are brothers, James Vehorn and Robert Vehorn; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Vehorn.
He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and its men's sodality. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member and past commander of American Legion Post 571, Celina Moose, Marion Local Community Park, and Marion Local Boosters.
He was a 1947 graduate of St. John High School. He had worked at the Wooden Shoe, Minster, and retired from Minster Machine. He helped with Vehorn Landscaping.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Revs. Tom Brenberger and Ken Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be made to Grand Lake Hospice Care or the Mercer County Cancer Association.
