* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Lavern Bruggeman
Lavern J. Bruggeman, 77, Portland, Ind., died at 8:45 p.m. June 17, 2011, at his residence.
He was born March 5, 1934, in Burkettsville to Lawrence and Elizabeth Heitkamp Bruggeman. On June 5, 1957, he married Virginia Bruggeman, who survives.
Also surviving are six sons, John (Donna) Bruggeman, Portland, Jim (Bonnie) Bruggeman, Fort Recovery, Tim (Samantha) Bruggeman, Fort Recovery, Dan (Stephanie) Bruggeman, Portland, Bill (Emy) Bruggeman, Celina, and Roland (Marie) Bruggeman, Portland; a daughter, Donna (Mike) Noll, Coldwater; six sisters, Evelyn Sutter, Fort Recovery, Janet (Ernie) Muhlenkamp, Portland, Rosemary (Art) Prenger, Chickasaw, Bernice Bruggeman, Coldwater, Margie Buschur, Celina, and Marlene Calhoun, Tucson, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Catherine Bruggeman, Coldwater; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Leroy Bruggeman; brothers-in-law, Herb Sutter and Rich Buschur.
He was a member of Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, and was a self-employed truck driver. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Service is 10:30a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery, where military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 am. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
