Frank C. Murray
Frank C. Murray, 64, St. Marys, died at 10:59 p.m. Jan. 27, 2011, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Celina, to Richard and Lorena Wuebker Murray, who are deceased. On June 3, 1967, he married Deborah Hight, who survives.
Other survivors are three children, Patrick Murray, New Bremen, Erin (Brian) Moeller, Celina, and Whitney Murray, Urbana; a mother-in-law, Margaret Hight, St. Marys; and four grandchildren.
He was a 1964 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1965 to 1969, including two years in Vietnam. He was the president of Acme Metal and Manufacturing Company and also CrossHair technologies, both in St. Marys. He was a member of the St. Marys Rotary Club, serving many roles at the local and state levels. He was a member and former commander of American Legion Post 323 and a member of the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce. He was the current president of the Lake Development Corporation, founding president of the Auglaize and Mercer Counties Convention and Visitors Bureau, park commissioner of The Heritage Trails Park District and was involved in more than 40 local committees, organizations and associations.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. American Legion Post 323 and VFW Post 9289 will conduct military rites at the church.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
