* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Charles Bornhorst
Charles J. Bornhorst, 76, St. Henry, died at 6:06 a.m. Aug. 12, 2010, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born April 19, 1934, in Philothea, to Paul and Margaret Stelzer Bornhorst. On Nov. 12, 1958, he married Jo Voskuhl, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Christina (Alan) Pottkotter, Fort Recovery, John (Patricia) Bornhorst, Concord, N.C., Ken (Stella) Bornhorst, South America, Teresa (Michael) Wasson, Bradford, and Roger Bornhorst, St. Henry; a daughter-in-law, Shelly (Todd) Busse, St. Henry; four siblings, Eileen (Lester) Poeppelman, Minster, Maurice (Viola) Bornhorst, Minster, Ann (Vern) Gross, Coldwater, and Jerry (Charlene) Bornhorst, Texas; and 17 grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Robert Bornhorst; a sister, Rosemary Bornhorst; and a grandchild.
He was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church. He worked at the former New Idea plant in Coldwater, was a former owner of Wendelin Tavern and worked at Cooper Farms in St. Henry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion of Fort Recovery. He was one of the original organizers of the Wendelin Sports Club.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial with military services is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 1-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
