Hilda Siegel
Hilda M. Gaier Siegel, 95, Fort Loramie, died July 7, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Fort Loramie, to Joseph and Elizabeth Barhorst Gaier. On June 9, 1938, she married Leo "Curly" Siegel, who died Nov. 4, 1979.
Surviving are three children, Ronald (Janet) Siegel, Fort Loramie, Joann (Jack) Arnett, Greenville, and Nancy (Randy) Barfield, Sidney; a brother, August (Edna) Gaier, Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Irene Siegel, Brighton, Mich.; nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, William and Urban Gaier; a sister, Helen Poeppelman, and a granddaughter, Dawn Cochran.
She attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie and was a member of the St. Ann's Ladies Sodality and the Walkup Country Club. She was a homemaker.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-7 Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
