Walter Sturm
Walter V. Sturm, 90, Sidney, died July 6, 2010, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
He was born Dec. 30, 1919, in Sidney, to Clarence and Ora Stengel Sturm. On April 21, 1942, he married Anna Marie Ruhenkamp, who died Nov. 4, 2007.
Surviving are four children, James (Beverly) Sturm, Dayton, Carol (Barry) Cummings, Christoval, Texas, Barbara (Richard) Hayman, Fort Myers, Fla., and Susan (Michael) Pyles, Celina; a sister, Wilma Schnell, Piqua; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother and six sisters.
He was a World War II Navy veteran. He retired from the former Monarch Machine Tool Company in Sidney, where he worked as an engineer. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Monday at Cromes Funeral Home in Sidney.
