Andrew Wendel
Mercer County native Andrew A. Wendel, 83, of Wellington, Fla., died May 3, 2010, in West Palm Beach, Fla.
He was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Mercer County, to Joseph and Katherine Voskuhl Wendel. His wife of 52 years, Rosemary Wendel, survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bernard; two daughters, Ruthann and Christine; a sister, Veronica; a brother, Leonard; sisters-in-law; and a grandson.
He worked as a sample maker at a sheet metal factory. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the 391st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army.
A military service will be held in July at the National Veterans Cemetery in Wellington, Fla.
Arrangements were handled by Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory in Royal Palm Beach, Fla.
