Roger Heppeard
Roger William Heppeard, 69, Rockford, died at 11:15 p.m. March 29, 2010, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1940, in Liberty Township, to William "Sam" Foster and Georgia Bonita Huffman Heppeard.
Surviving is a sister, Carolyn Heppeard, Rockford.
Deceased is a brother, Bill Heppeard, and two sisters, Veda Heppeard and Vivian Pontsler.
He was a race horse trainer and worked with horses at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating.
Calling is 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Carolyn Heppeard family for a memorial bench at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds.
