Rodney Fischbach
New Bremen native Rodney R. "Bob" Fischbach, 86, of Milton, Ind., died Jan. 21, at Golden Living Center, Richmond, Ind.
He was born Aug. 29, 1923, in New Bremen, to Elmer M. and Armina LaRue Dodds Fischbach.
Surviving with Letha "Rowena," his wife of 59 years, are two sons, Garry (Jamie) Fischbach, Clearwater, Fla., and Kevin Fischbach, Sykesville, Md.; a brother, Carrol Fischbach, St. Marys; a sister, Shirley (LaVerne) Pax, Pickering; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ruedebusch; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are five siblings, Dick, Orville, Paul, Beverly and Bernice.
He was a retired station agent who had worked with several railroad companies for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Cambridge City United Methodist Church, where he had served as custodian for 25 years, and the Milton Masonic Lodge.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel, Cambridge City, the Rev. Ernest Howard officiating. Graveside services are 2:30 p.m. Monday at Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville, Ind.
Calling is 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with masonic services at 2:30 p.m.
