* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Larry Brown
Larry Brown, 70, of Van Wert, died at 4:08 p.m. Sept. 25, 2009, at his home.
He was born Dec. 8, 1938, in Mendon to Emery and Helen Hickernell Brown Dorsey. On April 20, 1968, he married Barbara Agler, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Allen (Kim) Brown and Sam Brown, all of Van Wert; a brother, Ned (Shelly) Brown, Bloomington, Ind.; a sister, Margie (Calvin) Sherrill, Celina; three sisters-in-law, Jeannie (Ted) Furley, Kay (Wayne) Reed and Georgia (Jim) Highly; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a brother, Bud Brown; and two sisters, Chloe Esmond and Joan Sams.
He owned and operated Brown's Auto Sales and retired in 2001. A 1956 graduate of Celina High School, he attended LifeHouse of Van Wert and was a member of Isaac Van Wert American Legion. He also was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Services with military honors by the combined honor guards of the American Legion are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cowan & Sons Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Matt Braun officiating. There is no burial.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
