* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Edward Somers
Edward L. "Eddie" Somers, 80, 19 Sesame St., Portland, Ind., died Aug. 15, 2009, at Persimmon Ridge Healthcare, Portland.
He was born in Jay County, Ind. Sept. 25, 1928, to Kenneth and Minnie Trafzer Somers. On June 21, 1953, he married Ruby Ritter, who survives.
Other survivors are a son David (Cindy) Somers, Portland; a daughter, Debra (Bob) Voorhis, Fairmount, Ind.; three sisters, Esther Anderson, Mary Helen Derringer and Alberta Menchhofer, all of Portland; three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, the Rev. Billy Stanton officiating with Terry Miller assisting. Burial is at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
