Paul Hammond
Paul E. Hammond, 81, 311 Johnson Ave., Celina, died at 3:40 a.m. Aug. 5, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born April 12, 1928, in Celina to Richard and Esther Pierstorff Hammond. On Feb. 26, 1950, he married Joanne Kinkley, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jon (Debbie) Hammond, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Paula Hammond, Cleveland and Janice Hammond (Edward) Hemmelgarn, Shaker Heights; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Steven Hammond.
He retired from Reynolds and Reynolds, Celina, and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina. He loved to travel and was a member of the Newmar Traveling Club and the Sun City West Retirees Softball League. He graduated from Celina High School in 1946.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial is at a later date.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour prior to service at the church.
