Marcella Katterheinrich
Marcella "Marcie" Katterheinrich, 96, 218 N. Main St., New Knoxville, died at 9:23 p.m. April 15, 2009, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 11, 1912, in New Knoxville to Oscar and Matilda Vordemark Beickman. On July 18, 1937, she married Robert Katterheinrich, who died Jan. 18, 1996.
Surviving are two children, Ted (Patricia) Katterheinrich, Bellevue, Wash., and Sally (Michael) Bauer, Issaquah, Wash.; a caregiver, Cathy Varno, New Knoxville; and two granddaughters.
Deceased are two sisters, Olga Weiskettle and Betty Jane Beickman.
She had worked as a bookkeeper at the creamery in New Bremen and assisted in the ownership and operation of Katterheinrich Plumbing and Heating, New Knoxville. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ and its Truth Seekers Sunday School class, New Knoxville. She graduated from New Knoxville High School in 1930.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Very Reverend Dr. David William and the Rev. Dr. Kim Katterheinrich officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville.
