* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Clarence Broering
Clarence B. Broering, 85, of Versailles, died at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 9, 2009, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Mercer County, to Anthony and Josephine Holdheide Broering. His wife, Irene Stammen, survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jim (Kathy), Dublin; two daughters, Mary (Ken) Hartke, Versailles, and Sharon (Ken) Elsas, Russia; two brothers, Harold (Rosie) and Cyril (Millie), all of Maria Stein; a sister-in-law, Kate, Maria Stein; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter and her husband, Pat and Richard Wuebker, and two daughters, Margaret "Peg" and Judy; four brothers and their wives, Lawrence and Stella, Joseph and Ann Rita, Richard and Ellenora and Roman and Erma, and two brothers, Dr. Andy and the Rev. Victor; a sister and her husband, Rosemary and Norb Overman; and a great-grandson.
He was a retired farmer and past director of the Miami Valley Milk Producers. He was a member of Dairy Farmers of America, the Farm Bureau and Milk Marketing Inc. and was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Frenchtown, where he served in the choir and Fatima USA program, and as a shut-in communion distributor, a lector and church caretaker.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial is at Holy Family Church Cemetery, Frenchtown.
Calling is 4-9 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Versailles. Third and Fourth Degree Knights services will be held at 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
