* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ripley, Union and Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...From 7 PM EDT this evening through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Lavern Wenning

Lavern B. Wenning, 80, 7295 Co. Rd. 66A., New Bremen, died at 1:49 p.m. June 6, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.

He was born on May 18, 1928, in Coldwater, to Joseph and Sophia Ahlers Wenning.?On Feb. 15, 1947, he married Annabelle Koeper who survives near New Bremen.?

Other survivors are a sister, Charlotte Link, Carthagena; a daughter-in-law, Linda Wenning, Celina; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, David Wenning; three brothers and two sisters.

He worked at the former White Mountain Creamery, the former New Bremen Cement Products and the former Bremco Mills before going into farming full time and helping make cement tile at Niemeyer's Farm Drainage (NUPCO), New Bremen. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, the Rev. Leah Matthews officiating. Burial of his cremains will be in the German ProtestantCemetery, New Bremen.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
