* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Paul Berger
Paul Emery Berger, 78, 154 S. Lincoln St., Minster, died at 7:20 a.m. March 14, 2008, at his residence.
He was born July 11, 1929, in Willowdell to Magloire and Bertha Grisez Berger. On June 13, 1953, he married Rosalyn M. Fortman, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Patrick (Joyce), Coldwater, and Thomas (Patti), Minster; three daughters, Ann (Dave) Monnier, Sidney, Mary Jo (Micah) Baker, Minster, and Christine (Joseph) Sievering, Cincinnati; four brothers, John (Barb), Richard (Bernice) and Ronald, all of Versailles, and William (Linda), Centerville; three sisters, Alice (Alvin) Bruns, New Bremen, and Doris (Richard) Ware and Nancy (Dan) Streib, all of Versailles; a sister-in-law, Rita Hoying, Minster; and 16 grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant brother, Jerome, and a grandchild.
He retired from Stolle Corp., Sidney, in 1991 after 42 years and was an Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Minster, Lake Loramie Improvement Association and St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Revs. David Hoying and Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery, with full military honors by the Minster Firing Squad.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
