Otto Rammel
Otto J. Rammel, 94, 522 Western Ave., St. Henry, died July 4, 2007, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Jan. 9, 1913, in Burkettsville, to John and Katherine Borgerding Rammel. On July 22, 1938, he married Marcella Moorman, who died July 14, 1950.
Surviving are two sons, John "Jack" (Linda), St. Henry, and Mark (Virginia), Ludlow Falls; a son-in-law, Nick Prenger, St. Henry; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Lavern; a daughter, Mary Kay Prenger; five brothers, Leo, Ed, Urban, Henry, Joe and Willibald; and two sisters, Lucy Art and Ludvina Borger.
He was the owner and operator of Rammel Dry Cleaning, St. Henry. He was the founder of the St. Henry Pinochle Club, and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Heritage Club, Knights of Columbus, St. Henry, Fourth Degree St. Gasper Del Buffalo, Minster, and NAIM of the North.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Burkettsville.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
