Lester Adams
Lester LaDoyt "Doyt" Adams, 91, of Rockford, died May 13, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Van Wert County, to Eli and Bertha Bice Adams. On Sept. 14, 1940, he married Inez Krugh, who died Oct. 25, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Anita (Keith) Rutledge, Rockford; a sister, Thelma Proffitt, Huntington, Ind.; two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Nancy; a brother, Marion; and a sister, Marie Edwards.
He was a farmer and a member of New Horizon Community Church, Rockford.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Robert Loar officiating. Burial is at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
