ST. HENRY - Everyone has heard of an old-fashioned barn-raising. Last week in St. Henry, there was a modern-day tower-raising.

NEW KNOXVILLE - The Coldwater Cavaliers went on the road and played the state-ranked New Knoxville Rangers down the wire before coming up short, 42-41, in a Midwest Athletic Conference defensive struggle Friday night at New Knoxville High School.
With the win, New Knoxville (ranked number-two in Division IV) remains undefeated and all alone atop the conference standings at 4-0 and ups its overall mark to 11-0. Coldwater falls to 1-3 in the league and 5-6 on the season. [More]

MARIA STEIN - The Marion Local Flyers played an almost perfect first quarter of basketball against the Parkway Panthers Friday night at the Hangar, and the extraordinary start propelled them to an easy 62-42 Midwest Athletic Conference victory.

St. Marys jumped out to a big lead, then held on for the victory knocking Ottawa-Glandorf from the top spot in the Western Buckeye League with a 58-51 win over the Titans at Hermiller Gymnasium in Putnam County on Friday night.
